Firsthand Supply: Clay Pomade

I have been using this pomade for many times now, thus I think it’s time to rate this boy. I have to give my brief opinion here that it is one of the pomade I wish it never ran out. I like using this product a lot, it scoops out smooth, provides great hold and great endurance, and gives beautiful finish. Scent: it’s herbal and spice scent. It can be strong on initial application and still get a whiff during the day. Consistency: it’s a cream, scooping it out is so much fun. Breakdown: no problem, no tug in the … Continue reading Firsthand Supply: Clay Pomade

Dior Sauvage EDT vs Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man

Today, I’m writing my first review of fragrance. It’s a bit strange that instead of starting with reviewing each fragrance. I start by doing a comparison. Let’s get going!! I sprayed one arm with Sauvage and the other with Club de Nuit. Let’s talk about the scent profile of each fragrance for a moment. Dior Sauvage is undeniably the most successful fragrance in recent years. It features freshness and dryness of citrus and spice. In the same time, it gives coolness and very adventurous feel. Imagine, you are in the desert, but in the twilight time, so things start to … Continue reading Dior Sauvage EDT vs Armaf Club de Nuit Intense Man

Cream pomade standoff: Shear Revival vs Grim Grease

Yes, that’s right. I think it’s time to do some standoff. It’s the widely accepted products from two great homebrewers, Shear Revival and Grim Grease. Let’s dive in. This comparison is based on my experience only. I did not get any promotion from doing this comparison. I do it for the sake of pomade users. The scent of both products is great, but I find Grim Grease’s to be a bit stronger. Shear Revival has an herbal and spicy scent which is one of a kind. Grim Grease’s scent is similar to CK One Red for Him. For the scooping … Continue reading Cream pomade standoff: Shear Revival vs Grim Grease

Grim Grease Cream Pomade: Smooth and Strong

This is kind of late to review this product. Grim Grease Cream Pomade has been on the store shelf since 2018. Still, for those who are collecting information or new to the pomade community, I hope this could be helpful to you. Scent: It smells very similar to the fragrance named CK One Red for Him. To my nose, it is very much alike. Consistency: Creamy and smooth to the touch, easy to scoop out Breakdown: very easy as well, no tacking. Application: Smooth and easy, no tug and pull. Flagship Blackship: the legend of hold

When you asking people, what is the strongest pomade? The heaviest hold. The most enduring product. Blackship is one of them. Its legend of being incredibly strong still live until today. Let’s have a look at this old boy. Scent: Rose and some citrus, but the rose is very prominent here. Consistency: thick, use back of your nail to scoop will make it way easier. Breakdown: creamy and thick, I don’t know how to describe it like a native speaker does, hard cream, perhaps? Application: it’s heavy hold, it can be grippy. Still, it is smoother than some other firm … Continue reading Flagship Blackship: the legend of hold

Arcadian Matte Paste: your loose style routine

Arcadian Matte Paste full review (My hair profile: thick, straight, stiff, length about eyebrow) 1.Scent: Herbal and spice scent, for me, this is pleasant. 2.Consistency: It’s a thick cream. It doesn’t react very smooth to your finger like ideal cream. 3.Breakdown: Although it’s thick, it is not difficult to break it down in your palm. 4.Application: It is recommended that you apply by little at a time. I don’t scoop out as much as I would with other pomades. The application was dry, tug and pull. it was quite hard for me to spread it evenly to the root of … Continue reading Arcadian Matte Paste: your loose style routine

Grim Grease’s Matte Cream: Smooth but grippy, strong yet not durable.

Let me put it this way, “strong yet not durable, smooth but grippy.”That’s what I experience from using this boy several times. I have tested in many environments, including hot, chill or sports activities. I would say it’s far from being ‘the top.’Let’s break it down. Scent: Lime and fruity notes, quite refreshing and strong. Consistency: As you can see in below pic, mine is very runny, it is like body lotion. I searched the internet and found that other people’s matte cream seem not to have a consistency like mine. Perhaps, I got a different batch. As you can … Continue reading Grim Grease’s Matte Cream: Smooth but grippy, strong yet not durable.

Have you ever wonder how to get high hair volume and texture? How did he do that? After some researches and trials, here are the tips: Dampen your hair first. You can do it with just water, pre-styler spray, or after a shower! Moisture makes your hair softer and easier to work with. Caution: make your hair damp, not soaking wet!! If you used a pre-styler spray to dampen your hair, you can skip this step, because the pre-styler usually provides some amount of hold. Flagship’s Matte Paste

Hello Folks!!! In this post, I’ll give my thoughts on Flagship’s Matte Paste, said to be the strongest matte paste ever! Let’s see if it’s really that strong. 1.Scent: Lime and Bergamot 2.Consistency: sticky, you should use back of your nail to scoop out. 3.Breakdown: sticky, no wonder, because it has so much wax content. 4.Application: Having applied little amount at a time, it doesn’t pull your hair that much. 5.Control: It gradually works its way up, and it’s pretty good. 6.Hold: Firm, but since it’s a paste, it’s designed for loose looks, so it’s different from those “firm” of … Continue reading Flagship’s Matte Paste
