Today, let’s have a look at Shear Revival’s legendary pomade, Crystal Lake. 1.Consistency: ideal pomade consistency, unless we are talking about cream, paste or clay. You can scoop it out easily. 2.Scent: coconut oil blast 3.Breakdown: easy 4.Application: also easy, no tug and pull but has control this is what we want! 5.Control: good, apparently. 6.Hold: it’s medium hold, right in the middle. 7.Volume: it’s not a high volume product anyway. 8.Finish: I’d say it’s shiny. Let’s kick off with the homebrew pomade from Thailand. Silver Lining Men Supply’s Clay Pomade It’s brewed and crafted in Thailand. After using it for couple of times, Here’s what I found out: 1.Consistency: It’s almost like lotion, a bit runnier than cream. 2.Scent: Strong bergamot. 3.Breakdown: Very easy 4.Application/Styling: Little bit of tugging but it is not going to make application feels like you are fighting with it. 5.Hold: It is advertised as firm, and yes, it is a firm, still, not with that power of Grim Grease Clay (if you have used that one).
